En Sonora asesinan al periodista Jorge Armenta y a un escolta

Jorge Armenta, dueño de los periódicos El Tiempo y Medios Obson, fue asesinado en Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, luego de un ataque armado en el que un policía también perdió la vida y otro más resultó herido.

De acuerdo con portales de Internet que reportaron el hecho, el homicidio de Armenta ocurrió después de que saliera de un restaurante en el centro de Ciudad Obregón, alrededor de las 15 horas, acompañado de dos policías que trabajaban como sus escoltas.

Por su parte, la Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado señaló en la misma red social: “En #CdObregón, se confirma ataque armado que cobró la vida de Jorge Armenta, Dir de #MediosObson y un elemento de la #PoliciaMunicipal, en el mismo hecho resultó lesionado un comandante ya recibe atención médica. En un momento más información. Las autoridades atienden los hechos”.

El diario El Tiempo –con versiones impresa y digital– es uno de los más conocidos de la región sur del estado de Sonora, tiene alrededor de 247 mil suscriptores en Facebook, plataforma en donde transmite numerosos trabajos en video, y se enfoca principalmente en temas locales y de nota roja.

De acuerdo con reportes del diario El Imparcial, las instalaciones de Medios Obson se mantenían bajo resguardo desde hace varios meses por haber recibido amenazas de ataques.
