Inauguran Unidad Móvil de Bienestar Animal

Con el fin de erradicar el maltrato animal en el municipio de Acapulco, la alcaldesa Adela Román Ocampo acompañada de la Directora de Salud Municipal Roxana Tapia y del maestro Efrén Arellano Cisneros, cortaron el listón inaugural del Módulo Móvil de Bienestar Animal.
Este módulo dará atención y servicio a todas las colonias de Acapulco, personal de la Dirección de Ecología será él encargado de atender casos que se presenten, tal como como lo marca la ley 491 de bienestar animal, todo esto sin costo alguno.
El Director de Ecología, Juventino Herrera Juárez destacó que además de atender denuncias de maltrato a los animales, el personal que estará atendiendo el módulo móvil, también realizara campañas de esterilización y darán pláticas educativas para crear conciencia sobre el cuidado de los animales.
Herrera Juárez, también informó que en Acapulco, se han realizado operativos para el decomiso de cachorros de jaguares, mapaches y aves que algunas personas tienen en cautiverio como si fueran sus mascotas, además de perros que son maltratados por sus propietarios.
En el evento estuvo presente Elisa Salgado, miembro del colectivo “Patitas Felices”, quien agradeció a la autoridad municipal la puesta en marcha del módulo de bienestar animal, ya que contribuirá a que se vaya atendiendo la problemática de maltrato animal que se vive en el puerto de Acapulco.
El módulo de Bienestar Animal iniciará sus acciones el próximo lunes, en la zona poniente del Puerto, en Pie de la Cuesta, los trabajos se realizarán en coordinación con las asociaciones Patitas Felices y Colitas Costeñas.
